AI, Mountains & Meaning: An Evening Above Munich – Reimann Investors Portfolio Day 2025

Just a few nights back at Highlight Towers, we brought together founders, operators, and investors to explore what truly matters – in business and beyond.

After a warm welcome by Hans-Christian (Reimann Investors), Samuel opened the evening with insights into how Gen AI is reshaping daily operations across industries, grounded in OpenAI's latest research. Christian Schlaadt (Director Finance & Corporate Development, commercetools), Antonius Gress (Co-Founder & CEO, Blockbrain), and Michael Giangrande (Google Cloud Retail Key Account Executive, Google) then joined him for a compelling panel discussion on integrating AI tools across startups, scale-ups, and enterprises – from product development and knowledge management to process optimization and cloud infrastructure.

Jens Thumm (Predium), our newest portfolio company, presented their intelligent platform that enables real estate companies to allocate capital more effectively – a prime example of AI driving tangible business impact.

But the real highlight? Extreme climber and mountaineer Dani Arnold took us into his world of vertical ice and unforgiving peaks. He spoke about calculated risk-taking, defining your own path, what high performance truly means in life-or-death environments, and the family commitments behind every ascent. His stories of magical mountain landscapes and the humbling reality of humans in nature left us all reflecting deeply.

The evening concluded with delicious food, drinks, and vibrant discussions as guests continued debating the insights shared throughout the night. Sometimes the best business insights come from looking up – both at the mountains and across Munich's rooftops.
