Vimeda
Vimeda was a Berlin-based health startup that was founded in 2015 by Tobias and Julia Teuber. The company offered over 100 medical self-tests that allowed customers to measure various health parameters, such as food intolerances, vitamin levels, fertility, or oral health. The tests were based on blood samples that the customers sent to the company, and the results were displayed online in a personalized dashboard with recommendations for improving their health.
Reimann Investors invested in Vimeda in November 2015.
The problem that Vimeda solved for its customers was the lack of convenient, affordable, and reliable ways to monitor and optimize their health. Many people suffer from chronic or undiagnosed conditions that affect their well-being, such as allergies, hormonal imbalances, or nutrient deficiencies. Vimeda provided them with easy-to-use and scientifically validated tests that could help them identify and address these issues.
In 2016, Vimeda was acquired by Neoteryx, a US-based company that produced the blood collection devices used by Vimeda.
